New band photo

[edit]

Here's a new band photo for the infobox or whatever:

Band photo of the Buzzcocks, Cropredy Festival, August 13 2009

It's more up to date than the other photo, and shows the members' faces better, so use it if you wish. If you have questions, please leave a note on my talk page. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 02:46, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mind the Buzzcocks

[edit]

In the English language that I know, they're called the Buzzcocks---and just see the photo caption on this page. Rothorpe (talk) 14:30, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

[edit]

"On 13 September 2014 Buzzcocks played a brief but triumphant set at RiotFest 2014 in Chicago, Illinois, USA."

Even with a source, which isn't here, that statement is far from neutral. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.181.53.35 (talk) 22:14, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If a reliable source said "a brief but triumphant set" that would be absolutely fine - but without such a source the claim definitely fails WP:NPOV JezGrove (talk) 22:24, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've just found the quote. It's from Tony McGartland's "Buzzcocks: The Complete History" - I'll try and add a proper ref when I get the chance. JezGrove (talk) 22:38, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

September 2023 update

[edit]

I did an extensive copy edit and added further references and expanded especially the period after 1989 when the band reformed. The albums released during that period were only partially included. I added those and tidied up the chronology.

What I was left with are some style descriptions that are unreferenced. I put those in their own section as their influence on punk rock probably deserves to be highlighted. Unfortunatly not something I came across much in the references at hand. Karst (talk) 22:52, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
