Butcher Holler or Butcher Hollow
[edit]I've reverted previous edit that mixes Butcher Holler and Butcher Hollow without making it clear whats what. According to the Geographic Names Information System of the US Board on Geographic Names (part of the USGS, itself under the Department of the Interior), the official name is Butcher Hollow, indeed a search for Butcher Holler returns no results. Butcher Holler appears to be a local dialectal variation, and does indeed appear on signage in the area, so it does have some currency and I think should remain in the article.
Ideally, there should be a few sentences about each name, and some citations. I'd add the GNIS citation myself, but can't find a permalink for it. 60.240.207.146 (talk) 14:03, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

the photo "Faithful re-creation of childhood home of Loretta Lynn located at Hurricane Mills, TN" is the same photo on Loretta Lynn page as "Original childhood home of Loretta Lynn in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky" and source says "I took this picture while on vacation to my hometown of Paintsville. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Loretta_Lynn_Homeplace.jpg" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.38.215.155 (talk) 22:29, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
