Exclusion of non-profit from lede
I'd argue that including non-profits in the definition is somewhat misleading. While charitable organisations have some similarities with traditional businesses, there are also great differences, in how they are structured, how they are treated in law and their goals.
Wouldn't it be clearer to work with a simpler definition: A business, also known as an enterprise, agency or a firm is an entity involved in the sale of goods and/or services for the profit of its owners. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Manamarak (talk • contribs) 11:04, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- I agree, I wonder why something non-profit (charitable) also called business, while it has mo main business goal - profit.
- Also, there's a LAW difference - in my country you should register your business (or it would be illegal) and pay taxes, I wonder why no such description (Business in law) in article. Nobody interested about the taxes? Making your business out of law's business definition makes it free of profit taxes. Wanted to add some info about that, but there's no even law's business definition in article... Roma.rr (talk) 05:34, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
