Bond-Panther connection
[edit]I removed the bit about him and Robert Davi being the only actors who appeared in both series. This is incorrect, as there were other actors who appeared in both series, including Catherine Schell, Joanna Lumley, Marc Lawrence, not to mention Roger Moore. Plus, Sellers and David Niven appeared in the unofficial Casino Royale film. 23skidoo 17:13, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Fu Man Chu
[edit]Wasn't Burt Kwouk also in "The Findish Plot of Doctor Fu Man Chu" with Peter Sellers? And also one of the original Fu Man Chu movie? Sorry about the spelling.--207.14.129.51 (talk) 18:48, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes he was - the classic line "Your face is familiar" was in the opening scene of the film , I read once that it was a bit of an in joke as they had both been in several films together. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.171.157.41 (talk) 13:55, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Birthplace
[edit]Is there a reliable source for him having been born in Warrington? The only one cited here is the birth record for Manchester South, contradicting the text it relates to. Others, e.g. the BBC obituary, also say Manchester. Haldraper (talk) 05:55, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- The BBC teletext are saying Warrington (perhaps they copied Wikipedia). As for the cite his birth registration records at the time may have been kept at Manchester South or moved there with all the government reorganisations over the years. REVUpminster (talk) 06:24, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
The registration district of Manchester South is where his birth was recorded in 1930. Wouldn't that also be where the birth itself took place? Haldraper (talk) 07:20, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
It doesn't explain the discrepancy though. Haldraper (talk) 08:18, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
Hampstead
[edit]Burt actually lived in West Hampstead, which is not quite the same thing as Hampstead. (Hampstead is further up the hill and a lot more expensive.) When I lived in West Hampstead in the Eighties, I once arrived at the post box at the same time as Burt, who lived round the corner, and he politely gestured me to put my envelope in the post box first, before he put his in. I think his was addressed to someone at the BBC and was probably a contract. Delighted to say his old house on Agamemnon Road now has a plaque in his memory. http://www.camdennewjournal.co.uk/article/vicki-michelle-pays-tribute-to-burt-kwouk-as-plaque-goes-up-at-his-former-home-in-west-hampstead Khamba Tendal (talk) 20:17, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
