Burnaby's ratio of residents to park land is one of the highest in North America.
This seems to be saying that there are very few parks. (If your ratio is 100 residents to every 1 square metre of park, that's a very high ratio that means you have few parks.) Is this the case? -- Montrealais
- Hmmm I didn't write that line, but somehow I doubt that it was meant that way. They probably meant the opposite. Not that I'm sure of the opposite either. I guess there *are* quite a few parks, but there are lots in Toronto, Montreal, even New York, Boston... moink 21:46, 12 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- I live in Burnaby, and I can tell you that there's a lot of parkspace. We have large chunks of park land on the Western side of Burnaby (Central Park) and an even larger chunk in central Burnaby (Deer Lake, Burnaby Lake. Carson . Talk 29 June 2005 21:09 (UTC)
- I also live in Burnaby, and on a Gr. 5 field trip, I seem to recall the mayor saying that burnaby has a lot of parks, and he stated a statistic that I can't remember supporting that. I'll look on the Burnaby website to see if there's anything there. 24.84.101.16 06:30, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Actually no wish to edit as ratios escape me. (lol) Not much on Burnaby History posted and wonder where all the anecdotes, musings and historical family diaries and things are??

Humerous period of time on the Highway entrance to the Highway #1 just off Boundary Road. There must be stories like this somewhere. Perhaps the Library's keep historical references that are not necessarily official but just diaries and diatribe. Wondering.
- I don't think so. I'm pretty sure they only have city archives, and they're all at McGill. Side note: we need to find that 'tree' logo of Burnaby and put it on the page. Carson Talk 29 June 2005 20:53 (UTC)
Are you sure burnaby still has farms, it would seem to me that it wouldn't because a) seem unlikely and b)I looked on google aerth and could see no farms near burnaby, ok I looked again, just now, it seems that there is apporx. 2 farms in burnaby with about 4 fields. Is this land part of the ALR does anyone know?
Hi everyone, How can I add Burnwood-Montecito to the list of Bby neighbourhoods? Editing doesn't seem to work. It is NOT part of Westridge, they are distictly different. Thy - FP

The result of the proposal was move.
- Rename: Burnaby, British Columbia → Burnaby
This is the primary use of the term "Burnaby". The only other reference not related to the city in the first 250 hits of an internet search is to 1800s author Frederick Burnaby. The undisambiguated page redirects to the city. Mindmatrix 19:22, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support as nominator. Mindmatrix 19:22, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support per CANSTYLE and most widely used. -Royalguard11(T·R!) 20:56, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

- Support as per the naming convention and primary usage. Since the 19th century author, if he were ever to become subject to an article, is not a candidate to ever to be moved to the plain Burnaby title, it does not give rise to a need for disambiguation. Korea Town
Please someone create an article about koreatown on north road, because the local paper says it is the largest koreatown in north america, and there is no information about it on wikipedia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.121.155.196 (talk) 10:48, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- The largest Koreatown in North America is in LA, and the largest and only official Koreatown in Canasda is in Toronto. THERE IS NO KOREATOWN in Greater Vancouver, though there are lots of people trying to create one. The residents of hte North Road area do NOT consider their neighbourhod to be a Korean enclave, as much as Koreans would like to make it into one. One local advertising-based newspaper's claim that it's a Koreatown, nay the largest one in NorthAm, is not sufficient citation/notability. The previous Koreatown-Vancouver article was specious and fell somewhere between "directory" and "false claims".....Skookum1 (talk) 15:10, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
History of the Metrotown area
Perusing other articles this morning I found this article by Terry Glavin on "the archaeology of Metrotown", which has all kinds of information on the social and architectural profile of the Metrotown district before it was overtaken by shopping malls; much information that could be integrated into Burnaby articles.....Skookum1 (talk) 15:10, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Climate
The table of climate data should be converted to use Template:Weather box like Vancouver. -- Beland (talk) 18:10, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Distance to the U.S.
How close is this place in miles/kilometers to the United States?
(there is a University located there, that is a member of the NCAA, so I assumed it was close to the U.S. but there is no info and the map is no help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.108.243.166 (talk) 07:14, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
