That was my baby sister and our family suffered a great deal due to the racial discrimination. My mom was a very strong black/Indigenous woman who should of not been put through such cruel humiliation. My family was never ever acknowledged or compensated for such racial behavior towards us (blacks & Indians) back then and I think it was wrong and something should be done to put myself and my siblings at peace. Our land and heritage was taken from us Panuke Road was not spelled like that. Ponhook Road is how it was spelled it's Indian land that's our land and I would like for that to be recognized and given back to it's people and restore its proper name. I would like to be contacted so the town of Windsor can fix their wrong, the way they dealt with my sister's death & my family's pain and suffering. That ordeal had an impact on all of us growing up with the loss of our sister and the treatment my family received. We were discriminated against and nothing was ever offered or acknowledged. The pain and suffering we had to go through because of the treatment our parents were given was not right. I feel that the brother's & sisters of late (Jennifer States) loss more than their sister we lost our parents, pride, dignity. 170.10.227.250 (talk) 16:48, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
