Angus Burger

The Angus with bacon and cheese - Bacon and American cheese are added to the main sandwich. This version has been discontinued as a main menu item, but it is till sold as a special request.

At present (April 2007) it is still a main menu item in UK Burger King outlets. It includes Irish cheddar cheese, rather than American cheese.

Note that the British restaurants only sell the standard, 3 pepper, and the bacon and cheese Angus burgers as standard items. The other versions may be available by request, I haven't checked. 217.34.39.123 11:39, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Parallels with "Arch Deluxe"?

The use of luxury ingredients and the marketing of this product as an "adult-oriented burger" is very reminiscent of the Arch Deluxe burger introduced by McDonald's around ten years previously. It would be interesting to explore the reasons why the Angus burger succeeded whereas the Arch Deluxe failed. 217.34.39.123 11:48, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Recently an editor applied the {{Ad}} tag to the article, it is my belief that it was done so incorrectly. An article written like an ad would contain Peacock statements such as crisp lettuce, savory bacon and creamy mayonnaise in the product description. Additionally there would be more flourish in the history with the product being named in each instance the terms sandwich and product are used.

If an editor feels that an article might be written like an ad, please begin a conversation on the talk page so it can be discussed before tagging the article.

This is completely an ad. This is nothing more than an attempt by Burger King to claim the concept of an angus burger. There are literally dozens of "Angus ugers" from Various chains across canada and the US. I'm willing to bet there are others elsewhere in the world. There should by a seperate article (if there are enough relibale sources) for Burger Kings iteration, but this article shuld be re-written as a generic desciption of what an angus burger is. 207.216.253.134 (talk) 02:50, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

Angus burger is a separate article as I've undone the redirect. If there are not enough reliable sources (which seems unlikely), a merge and redirect to hamburger would be more appropriate. Peter E. James (talk) 18:44, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

The proposed title does not need the "(Burger King)" disambiguator. "Steakhouse XT" is perfectly clear. — AjaxSmack 22:43, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

• Oppose there are different Steakhouse burgers available, and even before BK started selling an Angus, other restaurant chains had already sold Angus burgers. 2013 UK Burger King drop Angus burgers

Since the horse meat scandal in the 2013 when horse DNA was found in Angus burgers http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/jan/31/burger-king-horsemeat Burger King have silently dropped the Angus Burgers from their stores and their web site by 17th Feb 2013.
