Within the Chinese military

[edit]

Within the Chinese military, "rabbit jumping" or "bunny hopping" (equivalent translation) is a form of punishment. It involves squatting, jumping as high as possible, and then to return to a squatting position, which is then repeated many times. The phrase "one thousand bunny jumps" is similar to the US expression "(insert number) of laps around the track". Possibly seen as a torture-based punishment, as the victim usually has a painful abdomen afterwards, not to mention exhaustion. If I am able to find sources, I might start a basic article. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 12:40, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
