There is (or recently was) a line of saxophones sold under the "Buescher" name (e.g. the BU-3). I assume they only have the name in common. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 05:42, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. Selmer stenciled them from a Taiwanese manufacturer and apparently buyers weren't fooled since this arrangement didn't last long. The old Buescher factory is closed from what I understand, but it still exists. --Olds 403 (talk) 01:00, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's kind of a fitting epilogue for Selmer's treatment of the Buescher name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.111.51.98 (talk) 11:18, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Buescher Oboe Model 980 30+ years old

[edit]

Greetings,

I cannot find any reference to this instrument online. Can you help find a history for it? It is a wood bore, silver plated keys and is has great tone and key action. Please help!!

Kris on North Padre Island, TX - evidently not an oboe-friendly area, the music stores could not help me and I am waiting to hear back from the first chair of the Corpus Christi Orchestra.

Thanx for any info 65.36.100.242 (talk) 21:11, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
