[edit]Hiya :) the first pic on the right has a caption which says 'not the swastika'. I guess it should be 'Note the swastika...' As I am unfamiliar with Wikiedits I will just write this note here. --2007-05-19 Flower

George Grimm
[edit]I am not what u might call an experienced Wikipedian. I'm doing my know-nothing darnedest to create both a disambiguation page and article on a German judge and Buddhist scholar named George Grimm. I 1st found out about him @ a very strange on-line book, that in my strange mind is 1 of the best books I've ever read. Much of this on-line book is concerned w/the scholarship/writings of this George Grimm. There is a part of the book just about this judge and Buddhist scholar, here: http://freezoneearth.org/littlepurplenotebook/ch474.html. A quick Google search shows he's a real Buddhist author. The thing is, the only Wikipedia article about a George Grimm is about another judge, w/0 listed publications to his name w/the same year of death, but different DOB. The only other biographical info I've found about him is here: http://www.tuvienquangduc.com.au/English/figure/18westerncontribution-3.html. I could REALLY REALLY use some help w/this. I'm in way over my head. P.S.: The thing is, the guy really does seem to b some1 of @ least minor note in the introduction of Buddhism to the west/I'm baffled by how unknown he is in this capacity (tho his books seem to sell ok/he seems to b fairly respected)/by the fact that there is, 'till this point, 0 already existing articleSlarty1 (talk) 07:50, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- Here is the best I could do w/out much time in learning: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Grimm_(scholar_of_Buddhism)
- It turns out there is a German wikipedia article on this person.
- Again much help is much needed / much wanted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slarty1 (talk • contribs) 10:24, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- Since I've completed the article as best my know-0 (/inexperienced Wikipedian) brain can, any additional help in making it a better article would b immensely appreciated. I actually completed an article on the same person, last night, which was taken down for copyright reasons less than 24 hours later. I've rephrased most of it this time, but a few things, especially in the " Major Works and Views" section still need work in that regard. I am also guilty of a lot of inelegance, and in the vital statistics side-bar, I've labelled him a philosopher, because that worked, when other things didn't, and I'd 0 better idea. For some reason, also, the .jpg does not show. THe final bibliography section probably needs much work. Major positive regardSlarty1 (talk) 05:30, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
