- ... that Bucket of Blood Street (sign pictured) and the Bucket of Blood Saloon are located in a town that had a reputation as “too tough for women and churches”? Source: "While Holbrook is a friendly town today, in the mid-1880s the area was known as a place too tough for women and churches." [1], "Surrounded by the Navajo, Hopi, Zuni and Apache tribes, the town was neither inviting nor safe for families and was dubbed the “town too tough for women and churches.” [2], "This led to the town earning a reputation as one “too tough for women and churches.” [3]
- ALT1:... that the Bucket of Blood Saloon on Bucket of Blood Street (sign pictured) are in a town with a reputation as "too tough for women and churches"? Source: Same sources as in above hook, but slightly different wording.
- Comment: This is my first unassisted DYK nomination (my third ever (the first two were assisted by Gerda Arendt). The original page was a redirect page to Holbrook, Arizona, created on 27 December 2008. I built it out into an article on June 1 & 2, 2021. Please let me know if I have made a mistake, or if this DYK nom proposal has been submitted incorrectly. Thanks in advance!

- Date, length and hooks all OK. However @Netherzone: The paragraph starting with Potter is unsourced. QPQ not needed for the reasons above and no close paraphriasing. Please ping me when its sourced and I'll have another look. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 08:06, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- The C of E, Hi and thank you for catching that. I've added the source for the Potter paragraph, it's the Tribune -- both paragraphs that are based on Potter's memoir are now sourced. Thanks again for your help! Netherzone (talk) 12:19, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- OK. That's the paragraph sorted and the picture licence is fine (though you may wish to request it cropped so it focusses more on the street sign than the stop sign). Good to go, good work on a first solo nom @Netherzone:! The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 17:49, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- The C of E excellent suggestion to crop the image. I shot the photo, so I had no qualms about cropping it. Thanks again. Netherzone (talk) 18:12, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
