Bioshock Infinite

[edit]

Eh, not that it really fits anywhere on this page (might be more fitting on Booker DeWitt's/Bioshock's page), but Mr. B. DeWitt is clearly Booker DeWitt's namesake. Especially so, since the game deals with multiple universes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.74.131.246 (talk) 03:50, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Was thinking the same thing Codegrinder (talk) 19:33, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see that older versions of this page had a section "In Popular Culture" and mentioned DeWitt's connection to two game characters. On 16 January 2016, Omnipaedista deleted the section with the justification "remove unsourced trivia per WP:V." Indeed, there were no citations justifying the connection to games. --KKelvinThompson (talk) 15:44, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A quick web search turns up multiple mentions of the Booker/Bryce connection. Unfortunately, none(?) of these articles satisfies Wikpedia's standard for a "reliable source." Maybe collectively they justify saying, "It has been suggested that Booker DeWitt, the protagonist of BioShock Infinite, is named for Bryce DeWitt." (the deleted language) --KKelvinThompson (talk) 15:44, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Here are various references where observers note that Booker DeWitt in Bioshock Infinite is a callout to Bryce DeWitt. Sadly, these are all "user forum" type comments, with none that I can find from "authoritative sources." Maybe there's a professional review or academic paper somewhere that mentions the connection, but I don't know how to find it.
