[edit]Bruno Kirby looks and sounds like a gentleman i once worked with as a carpenter in West Los Angeles. He always told me he was really an actor, and I always hoped the best for him, but I am hoping to find that he finally made it. That guy is good! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.231.103.46 (talk • contribs) 03:59, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
"He was a very talented actor playing varied roles through out his life."
This article needs a good scrubbing and re-writing, if only as a tribute to this fine actor. (Which, because this is a talk page and MY POV, is okay to say!)

Does a promo-photo work now?
[edit]I saw that the AP obit is using a promo photo[1] from a TV movie he did. Do you think the FA reasoning for using a promo-photo is now "ripe" considering it's now substantially more difficult to get a GDFL photo of him? --Bobak 00:39, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Mother?
[edit]Does anyone have info on who she was? Mad Jack 08:10, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- His mother apparently died before he did, although I've found nothing specific, his stepmother was his father's wife Roz. I just watched him on an episode of Homicide, I had no idea he was dead until now.--T. Anthony 10:52, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Fluent in Italian
[edit]I was amazed by Bruno's fluency in Italian when I saw him in The Godfather Part II! He was even better than Robert De Niro. Does anybody know how he mastered the language ? Does anybody know if his family was originally from the Italian region called Sardinia ? --85.18.81.137 (talk) 00:40, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Name
[edit]In the DVD commentary track to Godfather II Francis Ford Coppola refers to Kirby as Bruce Kirby. Is this Coppola's error or was he known as Bruce? TheOneOnTheLeft (talk) 21:32, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- He was known as Bruce. Johnny "ThunderPeel2001" Walker (talk) 03:36, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
pointless & useless information
[edit]One of Wikipedia's bad points is the way writers persistently insert information that has nothing whatever to do with the subject at hand. I have therefore removed the reference to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. This particular case seems to be an example of Americans' idiotic worship of sports stars. Are we supposed to have a higher opinion of Bruno Kirby because he just happened to be attending Power Memorial Academy at the same time as someone who became a famous basketball player? (Were they dating, or something?) I looked at Jabbar's article, but it doesn't include anything about Kirby. The "influence" apparently works only one way. Sardinian ancestry
[edit]It's pretty obvious he has Sardinian ancestry given his last name, but can't find any reliable sources. Has anyone else? Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 14:37, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
