Guayaquil, Ecuador Campus

Did you know... Brookdale once had a campus in Ecuador? Last year, Broward College in Florida took over the campus. From a page on Broward's website:

"BCE opened its doors in Guayaquil in 1985 as a branch campus of Brookdale Community College of Lincroft, NJ. In 2006, the New Jersey institution ended its ties to BCE and in January of 2007, they became an affiliate of Broward."

Here's the original Brookdale College Ecuador website: http://www.bcc.edu.ec/

The Ecuador campus may be worth mentioning in the article as it was part of Brookdale for over 20 years and, according to Wikitravel's page on Guayaquil, at one time Brookdale College Ecuador was the only U.S. accredited college in all of South America.
