Removed As the name suggest's it is made of bronze. from the main page - my understanding is that the medals are not specifically made of bronze but are bronze colored ( gold/silver medals outside the olympics are certainly not uniformly made to match the name ) - Peripitus (Talk) 07:12, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Olive wreath

[edit]

Were the Olympics the only sport to give out the olive wreaths worn on the head? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.99.65.64 (talk) 10:58, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brass medal?

[edit]

I just realized today that there is more zinc than tin in the 2012 London Olympic bronze medal and since then there is no tin at all in the "bronze" medals. I don't have good secondary source and I'm ignorant of the subject. But surely this is going to be relevant someday? [1] [2] Iluvalar (talk) 17:17, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
