What year did the Bomb start?
[edit]Evidence for 2000:
- The old website run by Ian Nichols at http://www.broadwaybomb.com/about/ (currently down) claimed 2000.
Evidence for 2002:
- George Roff, who took the shot of the 2002 lineup confirms 2002 was the first year.
- NCDSA has posts talking about the 2002 bomb - http://www.ncdsa.com/10/3326/3350/Skateboard-Events.htm - but no years before this.
It's possible 2000-01 were highly informal years with only a few riders. 2002 had a chase car and motorcycle, as well as a prize for example (according to the NCDSA post).
Who won in each year?
[edit]If you have evidence for who won, post the URL below.
- 2002 from http://www.ncdsa.com/10/3326/3350/Skateboard-Events.htm : "Aussi Richard on a custom board with a time of 34 minutes touched the bull and won the randall trucks. beating the chase car, the chase motorcycle, people on the subway. 2nd was Haggy with 35 minutes and 3rd was Ian, one of the organizers."
