I removed some material
[edit]Nancy Mitford is alleged to have said that the three types of churchmanship one finds in the English Church are "High and crazy, low and lazy, broad and hazy." Alternatively, the look and feel of worship according to the three churchmanships sees "High" referred to as "smells and bells" (angelus bells and Incense), "Low" as "pine and pain" (hard pews, little decoration and discomfort - both physically trying and spiritually demanding), and Broad as "brass and class" (brass candlesticks and eagle lecterns, and well-heeled congregations hearing short, erudite sermons from urbane preachers).
I don't think this belongs here 1. it sounds like orginial research (though it is probably not) and 2. Low church and High church are better described in their own articles and in the Church of England article. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 11:01, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
It's too bad that it got removed. It pretty much sums up an important cultural distinction which is now missing from the article. Randal Oulton (talk) 06:57, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
