[edit]I removed this
"144001 and 144005 have been repainted and now carry Northern Rail's blue livery."
I don't know how to explain this easily - I'm not saying the repaint is irrelevent, but adding piecemeal information isn't the way a real encyclopedia does it. ie this is not a diary.
It's important to keep this information since when all have been replainted we can say something like "between year1 and year2 the fleet were repainted"
Also please remember that in 1 years time the info will be 1 year out of date - so please supply dates for things.

"New Trains have now just been rebranded. Class 144 001 is the first one to be repainted in Northern Rail Livery and there will be more to come."
When? What does it mean "New Nrains", also see Wikipedia:NOT#Wikipedia_is_not_a_crystal_ball and the section above.

[edit]Do we really want to see a photograph of the coupler?! The interior of the MSO vehicles features a different layout than the DMSO vehicles. Also there was a shot of a two car unit and another of a three car unit. I could use one of a three car in Northern livery or just the exterior/outside of the MSO vehicle, to show the plain blue bodyside. --Peter Skuce (talk) 19:33, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well it does raise the question of how technical should Wikipedia be? Should we include a full description of the construction? should there be a focus on the political and economic climate that lead to the order? should there be more on the mechanics of the train? Should every subtle difference in livery and interior layout be noted? IMO there needs to be a balance between all of these? Oh and reference everything :) --Enotayokel (talk) 21:41, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Can we find sources for the preserved units? The section may have to be removed otherwise. SK2242 (talk) 13:00, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
