Name of championship

[edit]

My choice of article name here is bordering on the arbitrary: just in the last year, I've seen "British Hill Climb Championship", "British Hillclimb Championship" and "British Speed Hillclimb Championship". It would help if the various bodies involved could agree! Loganberry (Talk) 15:19, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It seems like both the championship organisers have converged and consistently refer to it as the British Hillclimb Championship (e.g. https://www.motorsportuk.org/british-hillclimb-championship-confirms-2023-calendar/ and https://www.britishhillclimb.co.uk/post/avon-tyres-announcement). This would also be consistent with the style used elsewhere on Wikipedia (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillclimbing_in_the_British_Isles). It might be worth it at this point renaming the page so that we're consistent with the current naming scheme. HalfLeftish (talk) 13:12, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Using what appears to be well-sourced information on 2008 British Hill Climb Championship season, it looks like this article could be updated, and said page made no longer lonely LinaMishima (talk) 19:16, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It does have some inward links, but I agree that it could have more. Loganberry (Talk) 01:10, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Only one of his Championships was in a 4-w-d car? Not what this article implies? Rupertlt (talk) 11:43, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
