"a secondary facility was started at Dalton in Lancashire."

Should that not be @ Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire ?

I think they probably mean Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria, which is just to the north of Barrow. Pterre (talk) 14:02, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BCL Barrow

[edit]

The way cellophane was produced in Barrow was different from the techniques used at Bridgwater - as an ex Laboratory Assistant, I well remember much of the detail of how the plant operated, and if memory serves correctly I also recall that one of the sales/marketing ideas in he 1970s hailed the product as being 'biodegradeable' - well ahead of its time. Can the same be truly said of some of its successor packaging materials???? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rpb2009 (talkcontribs) 19:53, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Some residents of the area did complain about the smell coming from the plant, when the wind was blowing from he west! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.137.66.248 (talk) 19:40, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
