Bristol 411 identification - possible error by me
[edit]I have a concern that a picture I uploaded a couple of days ago of a Britsol 411 may have been of an earlier model. That would make it (probably) even more unusual, but it would also mean that the picture appears in the wrong place. And my concern may be misplaced: it might be a Bristol 411 after all. I am not a Bristol expert, but as far as I can make out each individual car could be individually tailored to the customers' requirements, so pigeon holing the things is not always the simple business it is with volume produced cars. Anyhow, on the principal of when in a possible hole, (1) stop digging and (2) ask: Is there, please, an expert reading this, with an opinion to share? Thanks and regards Charles01 14:54, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- follow up:
- someone identified that picture on wiki-commons as being of a Bristol 408. So I put it there.Charles01 (talk) 16:40, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
The Paul Lewis Mystery
[edit]213.233.159.69 (talk) 12:41, 15 February 2008 (UTC) visitor Last sentence "Contrary to popular belief, Paul Lewis did not in fact, drive a Bristol 411." I don't know who Paul Lewis is and wouldn't say the belief is popular among my social circle. Perhaps this isn't strictly relevant to the article?
- I suspect most readers of the article have never heard of Paul Lewis: I haven't (either). However, wikipedia has several entries on Paul Lewis. Presumably if his Bristol ownership is THAT notable, this Paul Lewis is already one of the ones with a wiki entry. Therefore, please can someone who knows enter a link between the reference to Paul Lewis in the Bristol 411 entry and the correct wiki entry on THAT Paul Lewis?
- (Of course, this doesn't answer the question of whether Paul Lewis belongs in an article on the Bristol 411: on the other hand, we don't, between us, seem to have found too much else to write about the car, and maybe till we have done, a little bit of quasi-trivia does not harm. Especially if Paul Lewis is more interesting than, till now, we'd realised...) Charles01 (talk) 14:47, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
