It seems there was a mis count on the number of wins for each team, this has now been corrected. I'm not sure where this error occurred, but it means this page has been wrong for ages. I noticed this when the number of league games played at each home ground was not even, which it has to be. So I ran the numbers and found both set of numbers was wrong, then that the total numbers was missing two games, seemingly the playoffs, this had led to Brighton actually being 2 in front across the years. Bigmansam45 (talk) 22:15, 16 April 2014 (UTC) After much hunting, there was an error in both the Palace home games and the Other Matches results, meaning the teams are actually even, the numbers were just slightly off. poogate

[edit]

Shouldn't poogate get a mention? - http://www.90min.com/posts/1776543-crystal-palace-s-paddy-mccarthy-names-and-shames-the-amex-stadium-pooer — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.180.17.211 (talk) 23:54, 24 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

M23

[edit]

Whether it is erroneous or not is POV : people call it that, so that is what should be in the lead. if you want to explain the nickname / possible problems with it the create a separate section later. Spike 'em (talk) 08:06, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I still don't think it is a misnomer: if you travel by road between Brighton and Palace you will almost certainly go on the M23. Spike 'em (talk) 10:07, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bredda we don’t call it that Wookney (talk) 09:54, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not a derby

[edit]

No fan from ether team calls this game a derby. It’s a rivalry not a derby Whatthewhat1234567891098 (talk) 06:05, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But the press constantly either refer to it as a derby, or mention the motorway. Wikipedia should reflect what is used in the real world, not try to guide it. Spike 'em (talk) 09:52, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Though I have moved some of the road explanation to a less prominent part and added a note about fans disputing the nickname. Spike 'em (talk) 19:16, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Distance between stadia

[edit]

I’ve measured it on OS map and checked distances by road. It’s more than thirty seven miles on every measurement. As this is an encyclopaedia and accuracy is important perhaps rewording to ‘approximately forty miles’ would be appropriate. Dorkinglad (talk) 23:25, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
