We read the Help:Merging and decided to be bold and simply replace the existing stub. Here's why:
- The replacement contains all the info. in the stub (with one exception) and much more.
- It tries to follow Wiki style guidelines as well as we can. (we're WikiNoobs!)
- We omitted a technical reference (to hypoiodous acid) because it would require a much more technical (and much longer) discussion.
- We tried to write an article useful to a wide range of readers.
- We think the article is objective (despite our personal connection). The stub was up for months.
