- Brian Martin (footballer) → Brian Martin (footballer, born 1963)
- Brian Martín Pagés → Brian Martín (footballer, born 1996)
– WP:COMMONNAME for both alway omits maternal surname. No WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, pageview stats here: [[1]]. Both should be disambiguated further as per WP:NCSP. Ortizesp (talk) 06:13, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
- Tentative support, agree no primary topic, and Spanish player article title should be adjusted. If this would mean a clash in searches, then yes let's change both. But if Brian Martín could be created without a clash, a hatnote would suffice (IMO, without being certain of the rules with accents etc). Crowsus (talk) 12:18, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

- Support, but prefer Brian Martin (Scottish footballer) and Brian Martín (Spanish footballer). I find nationality more conclusive (from WP:NCSP, and WP:NCPDAB recommends against birth years unless other options don't work. The case for birth years is much stronger, IMO, when we're looking at two British footballers from different countries, and/or a player's whose FIFA nationality we could reasonably expect to change, neither of which are the case there. (Credit where it's due: 30+ years difference in birth year is also much more conclusive than most situations involving birth years.) --BDD (talk) 20:11, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- There may even be a WP:SMALLDIFFS case for Brian Martín for the Spanish footballer, since the likelihood of anyone adding it for the Scottish one is quite small. --BDD (talk) 20:15, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
