Founding date and article expansion
Brevard College, on their website and in school publications, writes that they were founded in 1853. However, this date is the year Rutherford College (which merged with Weaver College in 1934) was founded. Brevard College did not exist until this 1934 merger. (More background here on the history of the college)[1]. I beleive 1934 is the "correct" founding date becasue this was when Brevard was actually formed; 1853 is the year that the college's history begins. I am a Brevard student and can answer any questions my fellow wikipedians have concerning the college's history. However, I may be unavailable for extended periods of time as I am a full-time student and often cannot work on wikipedia most of the time. I have added some stuff to the article, but it is far from perfect. I will continue to work to expand it. --Toucan6 07:35, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
New Logo
Hello! I am the director of communications and media relations at Brevard College. We have changed our logo and are no longer using the one on this page. It is my understanding that it is inappropriate for the institution itself to edit its own Wikipedia page. With this in mind, how would we go about inserting the new logo graphic? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harrisel (talk • contribs) 17:38, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
- I don't imagine that anyone would object to you updating the logo as long as there aren't any related controversies or complications. The current logo is here and if you scroll down to the "File history" section there is a link there where you can upload a new version.
- You're also welcome to upload the logo as a new file and replace it in the article. Or if you'd be more comfortable you can upload it and let us know so one of us can replace it in the article. You're also welcome to let us know where we can download it or e-mail it to me if you need assistance uploading it. ElKevbo (talk) 00:20, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
