Bias in intro graphs

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

This is my first time participating in a talk page so tell me if I am doing something inappropriate.

The graphs in the intro section seem to be pushing forward a narrative that the end of the Bretton woods system was very detrimental to the United States and the world in many different respects. To me they are pretty spurious correlations that are not supported at all by the wider economic community. The narrative is also not supported at all through the main article. Is there a reason why they are here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.140.97.219 (talk) 18:06, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
