[edit]yea bret why did you leave fuel because i loved you being in that band but i want the truth;why did you leave fuel?
biggest fan: skylar carroll
Why did Brett Scallions leave 'Fuel'? Why would he trade in a lead-singing position in a world-known double-platinum band to a bass player in some obscure bar-hopping band 'The X's'?? Why did he grow an unbecoming moustache?!? I can't get over that he left! It's just not right, you don't break up a great band like that. So who said the wrong thing? Who threw the sucker punch? Was it Brett, or the band, that initiated this disasterous divorce of raspy vocals and kick-ass music? And again, WHY?? I want the truth!

Could someone like ... Delete that pic, and get a different one? First off, it's of horrible quality. Second off, it made me vomit in pure disgust. He looks like a freakin' vampire, man .. What the hell happened there?
Seeing Brett Scallions with the band called "The Xs"
[edit]After seeing Fuel on tour opening for Aerosmith, I was quite shocked to see Brett Scallions in a band as a background singer, at a small bar, opening for a local band, not to mention that there were probably less than 100 people there to watch them. As a fan, I used to think of Brett as one of those people you were lucky just to see from 30ft. away. My feelings have changed dramatically since I had the oportunity to talk to him at this bar. My friend and I went over to where Brett was sitting. We figured it was a good oportunity to try and talk to him because no one else was around him anyway. He seemed okay at first with talking to us. We were asking him questions about what happened with Fuel and wondering how he felt about going from something really big to what he's now doing. He seemed a little uncomfortable with our questions. We then told him that he had an amazing voice and we just loved the song hemorrhage. We asked if he would sing a couple lines from the song for us. He then told us that we were f---ing nuts, got up and walked away from us. I was so insulted by his remark that I no longer see him as this idol. In fact I have a lot more respect for the lead guitar player in Bretts new band "The Xs". This band member sat with my friend and I at the bar. He was very polite and actually looked like he was enjoying talking to us. We asked him some questions about himself, also for the story on Brett leaving Fuel and he handled himself respectfully. I have to say, that band member is going to have a good handle on how to treat his fans when or if they make it big. I would like to thank that lead guitar player from "The Xs" for taking the time to talk to us and treating us with respect!
RE:WHY DID BRETT SCALLIONS LEAVE THE BAND??
[edit]Brett left fuel because he wanted to do more then just stand back and sing, his love for music is very strong and in his point of view its not about the fame or money its about doing something in his life that alot of us only say or dream we have..a goal, and his love for what he does music...when brett used to play in concert with fuel he said it himself wow!!...look at all these people to see me/fuel....he just couldn't fathem the fact that some were even crying....brett wanted to write and sing and play guitar or bass he wanted to sing and play and write music too,and since he was not able to in fuel he left and joined bands like the x's,circus diablo.and his new band riders in the sky where he can...at first he was only playing in little clubs in La and other places and he didn't care because he was doing what he wanted to do and what he loved .."MUSIC"..now he has since then gone on tour and played in the ozzfest and now has a baby with his beautiful wife abby...life could'nt be better for him...signed a friend of brett's and always a loyal fan too,kim —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.103.199.212 (talk) 18:13, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Added References
[edit]I added references to his Riders on the Storm information from their website, and his response to Carl Bell's comments about his voice from Alternative Addiction web site. He is no longer in Circus Diablo, but I don't want to make a circular reference to Wikipedia's site about that. Not sure what else it would need to get the clarification template off the top. who thinks
[edit]that brett scallions should come out with some material sooner rather than later so that his voice doesn't sound old (and by old i mean in terms of age)
by the way big fan just instigating a release... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aftizzle (talk • contribs) 05:25, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
RE:Seeing Brett witha band called the X's
[edit](assuming that this story is real no one can unless brett himself would conferm what you wrote)
We were asking him questions about what happened with Fuel and wondering how he felt about going from something really big to what he's now doing. "He seemed a little uncomfortable with our questions."
["Uncomfortable!?" i'd be a little pissed if i was him, asking him about what happened to Fuel was o.k. but asking him how he felt about going from something big to what he's doing now your lucky he acted just uncomfortable instead of him telling you to fuck off.]
We then told him that he had an amazing voice and we just loved the song hemorrhage. We asked if he would sing a couple lines from the song for us. He then told us that we were f---ing nuts,
[asking a singer to sing "a couple lines" from a hit song of their's doesn't sound nut's....it sound's asinine]
got up and walked away from us.
[can't say that i'd blame him]
