I have placed the relevant citations were needed on this page and have removed the header above the main body. User:DanielClarke1987 14:42, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's preferable to use the official data from the player profiles for biographical details unless there are clear reasons for using another source of information. Michael Glass (talk) 23:18, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Glass, do you have clear reasons, based on Wiki policies perhaps, for thinking that? Speccy4Eyes (talk) 06:25, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have already stated the reason: a player profiles is the official information about a player. That alone is reason enough to prefer the player profile to an article that the club has produced. Michael Glass (talk) 11:19, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Glass, what do you mean by "official information" in relation to the physical characteristics of a private individual? That a person temporarily plays for a specific team or that the specific team belongs to a league or other organisation does not give any special weight to the data held or published by that team or organisation. All that Wikipedia asks is that such factual information given is verifiable from reliable sources. You appear to want to give undue weight and undue prominence to the data from selected organisations - and without any justification. Speccy4Eyes (talk) 19:02, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is you who are giving undue weight to quoting from a source which happens to give the player's height (though not his weight) in imperial measures. The player's height, weight and date of birth can be sourced from the player profile. We don't need a separate citation for the player's height just because you found one that gave it in feet and inches. In any case, the result in the text is identical.
