Schundler Supporters
[edit]This page has been blatantly hijacked by Schundler supporters and continues to post misleading information about Bret, his career, and removes any information regarding the lack of identification of his party affiliation when he ran for Mayor of the city. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JCObserver (talk • contribs) 05:51, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
This article seems to have been shamelessly hijacked in the other direction now. I'm not from Jersey and therefore am not to familiar with Mr. Schundler's career, but he was mayor of Jersey City for a while, but surely his career was significant enough for him to have been reelected three times. This article discusses only the political campaigns that he has run and why its authors think that Schundler was a failure. They might actually add some substance about his accomplishments as mayor. One thing you can say for him: in a state with such rampant corruption, Schundler didn't have a reputation for being particularly corrupt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jungcat (talk • contribs) 19:17, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Pre-Political career
[edit]Bret Schundler and his people continue to delete any references on this page that refer to the fact that he NEVER won the Mayor's race in Jersey City as a "Republican." Jersey City elections are non-partisan and the word Republican did not appear on one piece of campaign literature Schundler sent out. They also delete any references to the fact that in his second election, he actually called himself a "New Democrat." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gopfacts (talk • contribs) 07:27, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Ethnic background
[edit]The following statement was removed pending provision of a source: "Schundler's ethnic heritage is 15/16 German and 1/16 Barbadian." I know that his grandparents were from Germany and Barbados, but how that transaltes into fractions of ancestry nust be sourced. Alansohn 17:34, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- If the fractions are the part that you object to, then you should just delete the fractions.
Bret has three Grandparents born in Germany, and one born in Barbados .... check his family tree ... http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/s/c/h/Robert--J-Schundler/TREE/0002tree.html#inst
