As far as I know Brendan Fraser has dual US/Canadian citizenship, so I rv'd the changes describing him as an American. If somebody can cite an authoritative source that says he's American, please feel free to change the page, preferably after citing. tnx. --Neschek 21:03, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
If his father was on diplomatic service (which I'd think the Government Office of Tourism would constitute) then he won't be a US Citizen unless he's naturalised. Roche-Kerr (talk) 13:35, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- Considering that one of the references states "Born to Canadian parents in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1968, Fraser carries two passports wherever he goes", I've reinserted it. It's not unusual for a person born in such circumstances to have dual citizenship. Wildhartlivie (talk) 15:12, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Televison?
I recall the name didnot have televison roles also? cmacd 17:50, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Brendan Fraser has been on three episodes of Scrubs. Is there any reason why it's not in the article? Skyezx (talk) 04:50, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
Frazer
I've removed His original name "Frazer" was later changed to Fraser because his first agent believed the 'z' did not have the "American boy" appeal. Since I haven't been able to source this. The only reference to Frazer I've found just seem to be unnoticed misspellings. If somebody can source it please feel free to add it back in. --ImmortalGoddezz 04:02, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
All of the sons - born in Los Angeles,
From the Personal life section: "they have three sons: Griffin Arthur Fraser,[1] born September 17, 2002, in Los Angeles, Holden Fletcher Fraser born August 16, 2004, in Los Angeles and Leland Francis Fraser born May 2, 2006, in Los Angeles."
I would suggest removing the "in Los Angeles" part from all 3 places. What do you think? Thanks Kvsh5 (talk) 17:51, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- It could be changed to "all born in Los Angeles", but it shouldn't all be removed. Wildhartlivie (talk) 20:29, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your quick reply. Would you make the change, or wait for more feedback? Kvsh5 (talk) 14:13, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
GI Joe
I have changed the Filmography section to reflect that Brendan Fraser has confirmed that he is not going to play "Gung Ho" in the new GI Joe film [1]. If some one else would like to clean up the GI Joe page that at first says he is not playing the character, and then doubles back on itself and says that he is, please do so. I am new at editing, and I would rather not try and change that page, since it probably has very high traffic. Louisvillejg (talk) 13:52 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Arcade Fire movie in Career section
Can someone verify this? I can't find any information online and there is no citation for it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.73.16.155 (talk) 01:25, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
Homosexuality
There are rumours that this fellow is currently in a homosexual relationship with a cameraman he met while filming The Mummy. Whether or not they are true, they are significant enough to warrant a small note in the article. 144.124.24.57 (talk) 14:14, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- No they're not - not by a long way. Rumours have no place in Wikipedia, unless you can reference them from reliable sources - at which point they cease to become rumours. Chaheel Riens (talk) 14:45, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
http://survivorsucks.yuku.com/topic/44839#.UGmuF5jA-IA Is an example of the rumour being discussed. 144.124.24.57 (talk) 14:53, 1 October 2012 (UTC) http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message846432/pg1 Another example. http://www.chacha.com/question/is-brendan-fraser,-the-actor,-a-homosexual With all this mounting up, I am going to suggest that we allow these to given a mention in the article, with a cautionary tag that they may not be true fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.124.24.57 (talk) 15:24, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- A forum that contains posts such as "he always has this duuuuuh look on his face" falls slightly short of being a reliable source. Inclusion of such comments would be instant grounds for removal. Chaheel Riens (talk) 15:28, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
More evidence; http://www.fmforums.co.uk/ and relevant pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.124.24.57 (talk) 15:40, 1 October 2012 (UTC) http://www.blinditemsexposed.com/2008/02/gay-but-broke-lainey-22008.html 144.124.24.57 (talk) 16:10, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
I had thought that this was a community effort. If so then why am I being prevented from adding legitimate information? Furthermore, what gives you the right to overrule me? Seems this wholly inaccurate website infamous for its own lack of substance needs to take a step back to realise its role on the internet. --144.124.24.57 (talk) 11:12, 7 October 2012 (UTC) I am going to propose that we cover the rumours about his sexuality in the article, seeing as they are widely held to be correct, regardless of their status in fact. 144.124.24.57 (talk) 16:10, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- You have already proposed it in your very first post, and you still have not provided any reliable sources. Please do not add anything until you can reliably source it - otherwise you run the risk of reversion, followed by warnings, followed by blocks - BLP violations - of which these currently fall into - are taken very seriously on Wikipedia.
- If you wish to get a second opinion, or don't believe me - either is fine - please check over at the Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard. I haven't brought it up there yet myself, but it looks as though you may be (unintentionally) forcing my hand. Chaheel Riens (talk) 17:32, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
" Whether or not they are true, they are significant enough to warrant a small note in the article." this sums up your complete misunderstanding of WP:BLP. For a claim like this, we need to ensure it is true using quality reliable sources, not blogs, not forums, not rumours. Until then, it should _not_ be mentioned. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:39, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Well if you think it will help, by all means bring it up on the board. 144.124.24.57 (talk) 18:49, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry, what board? The Rambling Man (talk) 18:53, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
Biographies of living persons/noticeboard that Chaheel mentioned above. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.124.24.57 (talk) 18:56, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Feel free to bring up your opinion there. Right now, I'm exercising the right to remove the rumour being added incorrectly with dubious sources in a non-encyclopedic fashion. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:59, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
I haven't added it yet because I thought we would need to discuss it here first. You are the ones who thought you should bring it up there. If you disbelieve me that much then voice your opinion. 144.124.24.57 (talk) 19:02, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

- No, we don't add rumours. Thanks. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:11, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Union of Opposites ‖ 15:23, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Vote
In light of all the evidence I have produced, I believe we should take a vote on this matter. I vote that we include a section covering these rumours, with a cautionary statement that we warn the reader than they may not be true. 144.124.24.57 (talk) 10:48, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
think he is gay yeah i vote he is 144.124.4.81 (talk) 10:58, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Vote to put in in the article as well. makes three of us Rastadon1987 (talk) 11:08, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- Right, that's it. I've presumed good faith and competency up until this point, but the above post just screams out stupidity. Quite obviously none of you have any idea how Wikpedia operates, especially regarding biographies, and voting.
- Any edits that are made to this page will be reverted, not just by me, not just by The Rambling Man, but by any editor who sees the article edits. If you're that insistent that it should be inserted, ask at the Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard and see how quickly you're shot down there as well. Chaheel Riens (talk) 11:46, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- Can you not go calling people stupid please? This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated by the website. Is this the level of maturity you are showing? That you immediately dismiss things out of hand because you disagree with them? --144.124.24.57 (talk) 11:54, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- Could all the sockpuppeteers please stop editing from different accounts and different IP addresses. Thanks. Oh, and IPs, please read WP:BLP. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 12:10, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

- I'm not using the term "stupid" as an insult, simply as an accurate description of behaviour - behaviour that has shown no inclination to change despite being advised to do so, and the means and methods to do being made readily available to those who need it.
- And need I point out the irony of you commenting "This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated by the website"? Probably, yes. Have you read the BLP page yet? You also may want to peruse the page on sockpuppets. Chaheel Riens (talk) 12:14, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Oh yeah, and read WP:NOTAVOTE while you're at it. Standards in Welsh education are really low these days. The Rambling Man (talk) 12:17, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Well, general consensus does mean that you go with what the majority think. I don't care what any of you have to say for yourselves. It is a group work so I am putting my foot down to say that the material is being added to the article. You say you don't vote as if it is a proud thing. If you want to run under the current dictatorship which seemingly is the cause of Wikipedia's authoritarianism, you are perfectly free to. Just don't force it on people who respect democracy. I am actually going to make a complain about how I have been treated. What makes you think you can get away with calling Welsh education poor? Obviously more than one of you were not raised correctly so you lack the basic manners to have a discussion without resorting to personal insults. --144.124.24.57 (talk) 14:57, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- I don't care what "foot" you're putting down, we're not contravening WP:BLP so best you find something else to do this afternoon in sunny Wales. The Rambling Man (talk) 15:09, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- Complain about our behaviour here, on the Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard - a page which you should be familiar with, but I suspect not. Meanwhile I have requested semi-protection of the page to prevent intentional breaches of BLP. Chaheel Riens (talk) 15:52, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- I am putting in a formal complaint, but I don't suppose your fly-by-night website has a feature where you can raise issues. I am changing this article whether you like it or not. --144.124.24.57 (talk) 16:12, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- Looking forward to the complaint. If you change the article in contravention of BLP, I'll revert it, protect it and block you. Cheers boyo. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:17, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

Wow, I just want to add that hearsay and rumor is definitely NOT suitable for a Wikipedia article. I suggest you take that elsewhere. I add my name to the list of people who will revert the page in case of vandalism. Browncoat101 (talk) 04:57, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Death
According to TMZ he has passed away. [2] Phecht7 (talk) 03:53, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? That isn't even a TMZ link, or mentions any death. Chaheel Riens (talk) 08:02, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
Audio Readings
He has also read for two audiobooks. I think this needs to be added as well.

Might I add that he has quite the range of voices. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.152.37.3 (talk) 23:08, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
