Well yea, they did. However, having said that, the Gym Class Heroes thing is actually a pretty good track, whereas as far as the original Supertramp "Breakfast In America" is concerned, I feel pretty much the same way about that now as I did when I was 14 when it was originally released: crap.

Dubious writing credits

Somebody needs to revert the absurd edit suggesting that Rick Davies, not Roger Hodgson, wrote the title song. The writing credits on the lyric sleeve to the original album are incorrect, because it is so obviously a typo, and remember: don't believe everything you read, including album credits, because they aren't always 100% factually correct owing to errors or omissions. 202.53.51.56 (talk) 10:13, 22 July 2020 (UTC)

Interesting suggestion, that the inner sleeve has a typo, but what reliable source can you point to in support of that assertion? Has any music historian said it was a typo?

I don't think Hodgson's website is good enough as a source to undermine other information, as he has claimed various things at various times. So we should continue to tell the reader all the various versions. Binksternet (talk) 16:16, 22 July 2020 (UTC)

Roger himself confirmed it in a Melody Maker interview in 1979. Rick has never claimed to have written the song. Roger addressed the lyric in 1979. 202.53.51.56 (talk) 02:59, 23 July 2020 (UTC)

Hodgson talking to Songfacts in 2012 says nothing about the inner sleeve credit to Davies. And Songfacts did not say that Davies never claimed composition. Hodgson and Davies are in serious conflict, so I would never put Hodgson up as a reliable source with regard to Davies. Binksternet (talk) 03:32, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
