Current Tour
[edit]She is currently touring with the Indigo Girls, and I was wondring if anyone knew the name of the cellist in her backup band? Josh something, I think. She's touring with him, the twins, and the Indigo Girls... if anyone has more information, maybe it should be added.
- Okay, so according to http://www.myspace.com/joshneumanncello , his name is Josh Neumann. Cool. I might add that. Or if anyone has more info with a decent source, they should add it.
Collaboration on Hozier’s Unreal Unearth
[edit]Carlile was featured on the song “Damage gets done” off Hozier’s most recent album (Unreal Unearth). I’m not sure where to put this in her page, but I do think it’s worth noting. Here’s a page I’ve found that could be cited- https://variety.com/2023/music/news/hozier-new-album-unreal-unearth-tour-interview-1235700516/amp/
“On the new album, you don’t have features to speak of, except for Brandi Carlile on “Damage Gets Done.” Why did you seek her out on an album otherwise without guests?
Brandi is another incredible artist that I’m very, very, very fortunate to call a friend of mine. And apart from the admiration I have for her work and the kind of community-building that she does, there was something in that song, when we were approaching it, that felt like it had the spirit of a sort of a coming-of-age, power ballad-type thing. And we knew that it needed a voice that was as soaring and as powerful as Brandi’s. As I was writing it, I could only hear Brandi’s voice, and in her crazy, crazy schedule, she found time and we got it together, and I’m so happy and so grateful. It was one of those songs that I don’t know who could do it like Brandi, you know?” Buckyist (talk) 15:26, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
