Former Name
Was the Brendeis/Roberts station know as Roberts' Crossing before it was called Roberts? For example, this 1875 map [1] marks the station with the label Roberts Crossing Depot.
Origin of Roberts
The article states that the station was named after the neighborhood of Waltham, Roberts, without any evidence. It's just as likely that the station was named first, and the neighborhood got it's name from the station.
