Abovetopsecret.com?
[edit]The site linked to in Reference 2 (http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread672580/pg1http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread672580/pg1) does not seem to be an appropriate source for Wikipedia. The article itself is full of pseudo-historical fabrications that are not consistent with standard scholarly interpretations of the Atharva-Veda (though I'm no scholar of ancient Sanskrit, their "translation" of the text seems to be very loose, on the basis of more reliable translations of the Atharva-Veda I've found) Other articles on the site seem to consist mostly of conspiracy-theory type ramblings and pseudo-intellectual junk. Plus, "Incredibly Advanced Concepts in 5,000 Year Old Hindu Scripture!" doesn't really strike me as the title of a particularly reliable scholarly work. The whole thing should be removed from the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spaceinvader42 (talk • contribs) 05:04, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

[edit]What verse of the Mahabharata is being quoted with the segment beginning "it blazes up with terrible flames within a huge sphere of fire"? Can we have an attribution or even a link here? Thanks 162.233.200.11 (talk) 18:12, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

New article proposed - "Weapons of power in Hindu epics"
[edit]Discussion of a proposed consolidated Weapons of power in Hindu epics article is at Talk:Kurukshetra War#New article proposed - "Weapons of power in Hindu epics". --Bejnar (talk) 15:24, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
Brahmastra is not a weapon of one particular era.
[edit]Brahmastra is not a weapon of one particular era. In the main article, it is written that Brahmastra is of Mahabharata era.
In several other mythological or ancient Indian epics like puranas and Ramayana, there are mentions of Brahmastra, Brahmapaash and similar weapons.
I think the main article can be updated by some experts in Indian epics. Akhilesh1019 (talk) 18:47, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
