Adding page content

[edit]

Hi there, I will start adding content to this article. To an extent, there is a spill over from the page Brahma Kumaris. However I don't think all the content about the United Nations Activities can be squeezed into the BKWSU main article. Regards Danh108 (talk) 16:19, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an advert.

Closing this discussion. The summary is that content from this page should be merged to the main article. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:12, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an advert. It is not notable. Move back to make topic. --Truth is the only religion (talk) 18:57, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is scope to expand this. I was more interested in expanding my other editing interests, but can invest some time here if that helps. "Advert" really needs to be specified - offending text can be reworded. Cheers Danh108 (talk) 08:46, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, cutting away the context-setting explanation of what BKWSU is, and what ERP is, the only actual meat of this article seems to be "Brahma Kumaris have an office in New York for their work at the UN", "Brahma Kumaris is an accredited observer organization for UNFCCC" and "Brahma Kumaris attended some UN conferences". This doesn't seem enough material to merit its own article, rather than going in the UN section of the main Brahma Kumaris article. --McGeddon (talk) 08:53, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. It's a deliberate exaggeration to extend credibility to their other belief and activities.

The BKs don't have a relationship with the UN. They have a very minor permission to attend conferences etc with a small office of minor departments.

They also have to pay for their office in the building. All it means is they can have official clearance to watch and hand in position papers. Given how the BKs exaggerate this, it is not notable enough and should be a paragraph in the main topic. --Truth is the only religion (talk) 18:21, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
