Never been paid to edit

[edit]

User:Graywalls: I now see the webpage you linked to. However, there is no "reasonable suspicion" on my part whatsoever. I have never been paid to edit, ever ever ever. I created this article from scratch, by citing reliable third-party sources. We need to figure out who is running this "Wiki Specialist" website. It could be a smear campaign on good-faith editors like me. Do these people know me in real life and are they trying to frame me? Or are they trying to discredit Wikipedia in general? User:Erik said he had the same problem with another article he created.Zigzig20s (talk) 12:58, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find a name on their website, and none on Crunchbase. Gust mentions "50 employees", including "Julie Jones".Zigzig20s (talk) 13:10, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt that it is a smear campaign. The articles we created happen to have straightforward coverage, so it is more likely that they were picked for that reason. If our topics involved some controversy, and we included it in the articles, the articles would not have been picked. Whoever is responsible wants to pass off straightforward-coverage articles as their own work to claim credit and get business as a result.
