Brad Hunt disambiguation
[edit]As the disambiguation page has been deleted perhaps someone could suggest how to disambiguate this Brad Hunt with Brad Hunt the pornstar? I'm rather fed up with the process as there was rather a lack of assuming good faith in the page removal comments even after I asked for help.—Ash (talk) 18:36, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- The general answer is that we don't dab when there's only one notable person by the name. And, given the relative prominence shown by Google results and Gnews results, the guy with the short and apparently unremarkable porn career falls below Brad Hunt the college athlete, Brad Hunt the money manager, Brad Hunt the Huffington Post blogger, Brad Hunt the college sports coach, Brad Hunt the periodontist, Brad Hunt the other college athlete, D. Bradford Hunt the academic and author, . . . Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 19:00, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- As I've said to you elsewhere I am not convinced that (regardless of the other issues around its creation) a DAB page would solve the problem you highlight anyway.
- The Brad Hunt article is not unique in having incorrect information added to it - we all know that his happens all the time to random articles. This is why we all have watchlists and why people monitor recent changes. Well, now I've posted here Brad will be on my watchlist too so that's one more pair of eyes looking after him.... Best, Nancy talk 20:52, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- P.S. one way of reducing confusion would be to expand the Brad Hunt article which would presumably make it abundantly clear that he is a "mainstream" actor. Nancy talk 20:54, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

- I wouldn't be shocked if the hockey player, who dominates in Google results (I had to scroll quite a few pages until I saw a result that wasn't him, and even then it wasn't another notable subject) is the primary. But we'll probably only be able to see if that's the case from page views once this page is not at the primary.--Yaksar (let's chat) 12:53, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
- Weak support the hockey player gets 221 views compared to 534 for the actor[[1]] which probably doesn't qualify as "much more than any other" though WP:2DABS might apply since there is only 1 other entry which doesn't have an article. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:47, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
