[edit]This article was created as a fork from the Burger King and History of Burger King articles in 2004, with only minor changes and expansions since then. Recently, a new editor (AllisonJ801 (talk · contribs)) has worked to expand the article - however the changes are problematic:
- Neutrality - The changes she made were initially problematic in that they were more of a professional bio piece rather than an encyclopedic article. I reverted those changes as the had considerable ad-speak with in them. The changes were reintroduced, in much better form but they still contained a lot of WP:Peacock statements, which I copy edited out.
- Conflict of interest - Based on these changes she made, it appears that the editor may have a conflict of interest with the subject. I believe that these edits may be made by a paid contributor or individual with a close connection to the subject and has not disclosed this connection. While disclosure of a COI isn't required by Wikipedia, it would be a good faith gesture for the editor to do so. If the editor is a paid contributor editing on behalf of Brad Blum, she is required to disclose this.
- Primary Sources - the changes introduced are based on the subject's bio page from his consulting firm, with no other confirming sources provided.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time this situation has arisen - another single-purpose editor has done this. Carson32 (talk · contribs) made as series of nearly identical edits several years ago. If this type of editing continues, I would suggest elevating the issue to the Administrator's notice board.
As I am mid-semester into school currently, I have very little time to improve the article beyond the basic changes I made at this time. --Jeremy (blah blah • I did it!) 05:17, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
