Coal mining
[edit]The article contains an unsourced claim that says, "When coal was discovered in the region, residents became interested in the mining industry. However, no mines have ever been opened, and gradually, the town shifted its focus on other industries." I have census records from many individuals in 1900 Braceville that clearly state their current employment as coal miners. Most of the miners are European immigrants from Sweden, Italy, Russia, England, Wales, etc. I would say that this seriously calls into question the statement made in the article. I plan to strike out that part of the sentence since I have documented proof that at least one mine was open. MagnoliaSouth (talk) 17:37, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
