What are "at risk" children?
What does that mean? Can someone who knows change the wording, please? Citizen Premier (talk) 06:20, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
It basically means that Boys Town is a dumping ground for Omaha, Nebraska, the Midwest in general, and I'm sure the whole of Americas juvenile delinquents. I should know, I'm being sent there in three days for FUCKING TRUANCY. >:-( A year and a half. 18 months. Because I missed school. FUCK
It's more then a dumping ground. Kids from abusive families or who have no other place to go other than juvie/foster care end up there. Many of the children there are orphans. I was sent there for 18 months to recover from an abusive institution that I had been in.
People are there for reasons ranging from the above described circumstances to truancy to patricide.
