Furthest Source of Shannon Basin
[edit]I've found two sources supporting the claim that the Boyle River catchment contains the furthest source within the River Shannon basin. Here's a link to a European Commission map of the main European rivers. Zooming in on Ireland, it can be seen that the Shannon basin's longest river (as guided by the legend box) is the western (Boyle river) source.[1] Also here is a link giving 290 km (180ml) as the length of river flow from the River Boyle source to Limerick.[2] - when added to the Shannon's 97 km estuary this gives a total river flow of 387 km (240 ml).Johnnyf1nn (talk) 22:45, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
