This page looks very much like an advertisement to me
it reads like something straight out of prwire.
a researched article should include a discussion of whether they encrypt user's files, for example, and what privace issues exist. see the facebook article in wikipedia for such discussions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Markgalassi (talk • contribs) 15:06, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Just one line caught my attention for a change: "For a detailed comparison, check their pricing plan" sounds like something straight out of an advertisement. Should this be relegated to a footnote?
Apologies if I put this comment in the wrong place or otherwise structured it wrongly - I don't comment on Wikipedia articles often... 78.45.1.3 (talk) 13:40, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Should the advertisement tag be removed?
A long while back I added the "sounds like an advertisement" tag, however I now feel it is suitable to remove this (and this article has survived an AfD nomination), but I'd like to here some other opinions first. --J. Atkins (talk | contribs) 09:48, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yea, I removed it. There is nothing there that looks like an advertisement anymore.UKWikiGuy (talk) 18:10, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- For me this sounds still like an advertisment. The style is not of an encyclopedia! --Sputnik(.de) (talk) 06:40, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Seems that Box.net doesn't offer free account anymore
As seen on this link: http://box.net/info/pro/pricing-plans Box.net is now a completely paid service. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 124.106.177.119 (talk) 05:49, August 22, 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe it's been changed or something, but I can see the 'Lite' plan is completely free for 1 GiB. --J. Atkins (talk | contribs) 10:22, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey, they changed it back! Perhaps a premature changed of page? There could be plans... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.5.108.195 (talk) 05:51, August 23, 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not seeing the Lite option offered right now. --74.131.50.152 (talk) 10:56, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
The lite plan is only shown if you clear the Box.net cookie. Its added as a marketing tool to hide the free option to certain users. You can all sign up for free here: http://www.box.net/signup/invitation/1 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.204.153.246 (talk) 21:33, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
How does it make money?
It's a business. This should be in the article since it's not implicit. --68.161.169.82 (talk) 08:06, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- I actually agree with that. It's kind of a giant ad.Synergee (talk) 18:09, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
