Alley description
[edit]Would be nice to have a description of a regular bowling alley. What areas do you have, what material is used for the floors, lighting, etc. --Trickstar (talk) 07:12, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I was interested in what type of wood is used for the surface of the lanes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:346:1180:4320:C559:FA1C:4563:125 (talk) 00:50, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
Music?
[edit]"Some bowling alleys offer live music, often performed by a disc jockey, a small band, or (rarely) a solo pianist."
Do I read this right? A disc jokey qualifies as "live music"? Surely this is not within the generally accepted definition of the term.

The last section does not belong?
[edit]"Effect of lane characteristics on the game" - seems to be totally unrelated to the page. Kurinurm (talk) 21:18, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
- This article has to do with bowling alleys, especially the lanes. The effects that lanes have on the game, are critical. (Other factors are ball surface, release technique, etc.) This section definitely belongs in the article. —RCraig09 (talk) 22:44, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
