The interesting part of this case was that the judge allowed an appeal and gave them a deadline, which was 17 days later. However, the law states a 14 day limit. The appeal was filed after 16 days but the prosecutor successfully got the appeal thrown out citing the 14 day deadline. Justice Souter called this "bait and switch". VK35 23:50, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
