Recently added citation of writing of Niccolai, Edoardo

[edit]

I recommend removal of the citation to a writing of Niccolai, Edoardo (recently added by JeppOne (talk · contribs)), unless it can be supported as reliable and noteworthy.

Please note that there are similar discussions at Talk:Bounded mean oscillation § Recently added citation of writing of Niccolai, Edoardo, Talk:Einstein–Cartan theory § Recently added citation of writing of Niccolai, Edoardo, and Talk:Covariant derivative § Recently added citation of writing of Niccolai, Edoardo. I'm just trying to let people know that there are some important writings by my professor. That's all. And I do it for the love of science. Maybe you should inquire about the person in question before "triggering" an unfair censorial judgment, which is to the detriment of the knowledge itself.
Thank you very much JeppOne (talk) 11:56, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@JeppOne: I appreciate that you are working to improve Wikipedia by including material that will make it better. Thank you. I apologize that my request for additional information has come across as triggering or unfair censorial. Especially with newcomers such as yourself, but also quite generally, I try to not do that. It is my goal to work together in harmony with other editors to make Wikipedia the best it can be.
Alas, none of that addresses the WP:N or WP:RELIABLE questions. Please, I am hoping that you or another will provide some evidence that the primary source, arXiv article you are citing is reliable and noteworthy enough for Wikipedia. Thank you —Quantling (talk | contribs) 13:11, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much, Quantling, for your open-mindedness! Knowledge, in a broad sense, gives thanks. JeppOne (talk) 17:12, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Because this is a recent arXiv publication, the presumption is that it is not reliable. Please, if you have any evidence that the publication is reliable and noteworthy, now would be a great time to supply it. To keep Wikipedia strong, we need justification along these lines. —Quantling (talk | contribs) 17:51, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
