A comparison is made between the Sidestrand & Martin B-10:
"The Sidestrand bomb-load was limited to 1,050 pounds (480 kg), inferior to contemporaries such as the Martin B-10.[7]"
The Martin B-10 was hardly a contemporary of the Sidestrand, having first flown & entered service some eight years later. Surely this detracts from the accuracy of the page.Oddbodkin (talk) 18:33, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
- Fixed. Sadly it was still somewhat inferior, being an overly conservative design when monoplanes were becoming common elsewhere, but then it is probably better described as a medium bomber anyway.NiD.29 21:39, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Company name
[edit]Shouldn't this be called the Boulton and Paul Sidestrand? Boulton and Paul Ltd. was a general manufacturer that started making aircraft in 1915 but sold off its aviation interests in 1934, which became a separate company - Boulton Paul Aviation Ltd. The Sidestrand and Overstrand were produced by Bolton and Paul (with an "and"). Northern rock (talk) 15:09, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
