it was a popular hairstyle in the 17th century not int he 16th. look at the article in "reclams mode und kostuemlexikon by ingrid loschek 4. revidierte und erweiterte auflage page 132" in which the years 1630 to 1650 are mentioned -212.186.100.35 19:28, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
