LoTT statement
[edit]@Firefangledfeathers What rule on WP says we cannot feature a claim on WP because only one RS says so? It is not undue to feature a claim from an RS. X-Editor (talk) 04:22, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- No rule! I find it to be undue, and I think the overall lack of coverage of Raichik's comment is evidence that I'm right. Overall, I think the section is getting bloated, and I doubt individual, quoted responses like this would make the cut in an appropriate-length version of this content. We'd probably quote part of the original LoTT tweet, one hospital response, and little else. Right now, this subsection is about equivalent in length to the entire pre-2000 history section, and we're deep into a WP:RECENTISM problem. - I've trimmed the hospital article, but it seems like a bit of a double standard to remove the unverified commentary from LoTT while keeping the claim that LoTT isn't being banned because of Elon Musk in the LoTT article despite that also being unverified and only mentioned in one RS as well. X-Editor (talk) 23:06, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm around the LoTT article and talk page, but I must have missed that edit or talk page discussion. Unless my memory is failing, I don't think it's a double standard on my part. I haven't had time to review your trim, but thank you for doing it. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 23:51, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- No problem. Take care. X-Editor (talk) 00:41, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
