Origin of name

Is there any evidence to support the claims to the naming of the village in the intro? My instinct is to favour the alternative suggestion, the "barrow" having been in place long before a borough was introduced. Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 16:56, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
