boron price mistake?

The article mentions that 4 million tons of boron are produced per year with the price being 5usd / gram. That means 20 trillion of boron is sold each year, something must be wrong with those numbers... Vlad tepes 999 (talk) 09:12, 27 July 2022 (UTC)

I added a bulk price for the commodity form (borax etc). The $5/g is for 99% pure elemental B. –MadeOfAtoms (talk) 19:24, 27 July 2022 (UTC)

Occurrence

I really like this generalized coverage of BORON. However, the section on "OCCURRENCE" is extremely hypothetical and unfounded. Boron exists all over the planet earth, and like carbon, is in everything in some form or other. Understood as a trace element, every study has shown it to be found in nature at all levels. I bring this up because the article fails to mention how truly abundant Boron actually is, and traces of it are found everywhere... even in space dust. I'm no author so I suggest a review of this section and actual scientific references be used and cited. Thanks so much, I love wikipedia! 2600:6C5A:407F:210B:C4C4:898F:92E5:7EBE (talk) 18:57, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
